Yesterday was Independence Day so I just want to start by sharing my American pride and say,

And now, time to share another layout for The ScrapRoom
Today's flavor of the month is very timely for this holiday --- it's "Sweet Freedom" from Pink Paislee.
Red, white and blue are one of my favorite color combinations. So you can imagine, I'm a bit of a sucker for patriotic-themed collections. This particular one from Pink Paislee has a more grown-up feel to it than many of the other more cutesy ones out there. This led me to scrap these photos you see here of Paul Revere and his various memorials in Boston. It was a great collection to highlight the important role he played in America's history. The photos definitely took center-stage but the different patterned paper strips in combination with the stickers and die-cuts really help to capture the feeling. All that came out of my stash for this one is the journal card and the title (a combination of Thickers and a silhouette cut).
