Shared memories

This layout brings back fond memories for Nicholas and his Opa. Back when he was still driving truck , Ron had the option to take passengers along for the ride. Once Jim and I got over the anxiety of letting our little one go on a big truck, we soon learned that Nicholas really enjoyed these trips and looked forward to them with much anticipation...to the point of not sleeping the night before! These were good times for both of them. They have memories of stopping to sled in the snow when crossing the passes and delicious breakfasts shared at the local truck stop among many others. They were lucky to have these moments. Not too long after Nicholas reached school age, the regulations changed and Ron was no longer able to take passengers. Disappointing for both as Nicholas was still hoping to go in the summers and other long breaks during the school year. Now Ron is retired and Andrew hears about these trips...wishing he'd had that same opportunity!
